“Rīgas satiksme” receives Silver award of the Sustainability index 2022
“I am pleased that we have been ranked high in the Sustainability Index 2022 and received the Silver category. For us as a municipal capital company, in general it is important to follow good corporate governance principles in our activities. Therefore, we constantly evaluate and improve the quality of provided services, create open communication and purposefully plan and assess the impact of our activities on the environment and society as a whole. We will continue to implement activities to promote the implementation of the principles of responsible and sustainable management in our activities. Many thanks to everyone for the accomplished work! The second silver award in a row shows that a lot of systematic work is being invested in the management of “Rīgas satiksme”, emphasizes Džineta Innusa, Chairperson of the Board of “Rīgas satiksme”.
The “Sustainability Index” is a management tool developed in accordance with international standards that helps organizations to assess the sustainability of their activities and the level of corporate responsibility in five areas: strategy, market relations, work environment, environment and local community. This year, the minimum threshold of the Sustainability Index was exceeded by 78 organizations - enterprises, state and municipal institutions, etc., each five out of which participated in this assessment for the first time.
The Sustainability Index has been organized by the Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (InCSR) for 13 years in a row.
